Welcome to the December 18, 2009 edition of athletic alley blog carnival. Dick LaFrance demonstrates the influence that sports icons had on his youth and asks about the icons of today. Steve Patterson gives a great preview of this season’s upcoming bowl games. Dave Roller takes a look back at some events that helped to make his White Sox the 2005 World Series Champions. Submissions are due by 8:00 PM (EST) on Tuesdays. The carnival will be posted at noon the following Thursday. Your submission can be focused on any sport, at any level. Athletic Alley and the contributors welcome your comments on the featured posts. I hope you enjoy the submissions. Keep those sports related articles coming. It is my hope that you consider this a fun and easy way to get the word out about the sport (or sports) you love to play and/or watch. If you know someone whose writing would be a good addition to the weekly blog carnival or to Athletic Alley itself, please point them this way.
