Welcome to the October 15, 2009 edition of athletic alley blog carnival. Lisa Illichmann has contributed an inspirational allegory about persevering through the many obstacles that we encounter in life and sports. Jake shares the thrilling adventure that is trail running. Case Ernsting gives us some practical tips on improving your golf swing. MidWest WakeSurfing has contributed an excellent article (with a video) on the growing sport of wakesurfing. Submissions are due by 8:00 PM (EST) on Tuesdays. The carnival will be posted at noon the following Thursday. Your submission can be focused on any sport, at any level. Athletic Alley and the contributors welcome your comments on the featured posts. I hope you enjoy the submissions. Keep those sports related articles coming. It is my hope that you consider this a fun and easy way to get the word out about the sport (or sports) you love to play and/or watch. If you know someone whose writing would be a good addition to the weekly blog carnival or to Athletic Alley itself, please point them this way.

Thanks so much for including me in the carnival! I really liked the Jiu Jitsu article from Cheryl Ragsdale. Jiu Jitsu is wild sport to watch and I highly recommend it and Cheryl’s post.
Hi Rich,
Thank you for including my post in this blog carnival. I’m delighted to share Alex and his excellent jiu jitsu skills with your readers. I’m even more delighted to be in the same blog carnival as Lisa Illichmann, one of my favorite blogging buddies. She writes beautifully!

@ Case – Happy to have your contribution to the Athletic Alley Blog Carnival. And I agree Jiu Jitsu is a very disciplined and physical sport.
@ Cheryl – You posts are always welcome. Sounds like the competition was pretty intense. This is my first exposure to Lisa’s writing but she does have an excellent writing voice that pulls us in as readers.
Hey!
What an excellent carnival!
I would be grateful if you could let me submit my blog-articles here. If possible, please advise me how I would go about doing that.
Thanks,
