Lights out!!!

by Alley on March 7, 2010

Sorry about not posting the last week something happened the other day we had someone (friend of the family) put a light up outside.

Now HALF or our house does not have power.

B and i bedroom is fine

Then i have a room i get ready in. only 1 outlet works in there nothing else no lights.

Then his studio doesnt work he has to run a extention cord from my room to his so he can do ring tones lol.

So stressful week. But the worst part is down stars in his dads room NOTHING at ALL works he has an extention cord for lights

So needless to say we have been gone a lot this week so they can get it fixed but they still haven’t and we strayed from our diet a little.

(my period had nothing to do with at all i promise hahaha) jk

gained a little weight 139.8 (+2.4 lbs)

So who ever says diet doesnt help u loose weight or doesnt understand y someone cant loose weight and they pig out.

HUMMM think about it. Its what u put in ur mouth.

I didnt eat any meat but grilled cheese isnt healthy and neither is cheddar and brocc soup and ff.

I feel ashamed for eating so bad i feel like i let myself down. But tomorrow is a new week!!!

No pictures cause of the house problems.

But once we get stuff figured out i’ll b back to post more stuff for ya i promise.

Hey Lauren,
Sorry to hear you two are having power issues. That totally sucks… It sounds like you blew a main circuit – I’m guessing you checked all of the fuses if it is an older house or the circuit if it is a bit newer.

I had that happen once and I shut off all of the circuits and then the main circuit and then I turned it all back on in reverse and all was well.

But, if you blow out a main power line some where in the wiring of the house because of overheating then you could end up with a fire.

If you do not mind me saying DO NOT ever have a friend or relative work on your house. That’s just bad mojo! ;-)

I have heard tons of stories about people doing exactly what you guys did because they were trying to save a buck and did not want to call an electrician.

This can end up backfiring and causing more damage then if you would of just did it right to begin with. I’m not preaching (really, I’m not!) but I just don’t want to see you two lose a ton of cash because you were trying to save a hundred bucks or less on a light install.

I always call an electrician even if I know it can be done easily I just do that anyway. Because I am man enough to admit I will blow the damn house up and that is not a good thing at all! :-)

Just my 2 cents worth!

Ya we know the guy didn’t do any thing wrong. Just because it is an old house when we cut off the circuit breakers the was a bad wire in the house it just quit working.
But we got a friend that is an auctal electrician and he has came by to determine that it was that.
It still sux though expescally for his dad downstairs cause the rooma are connected.
Other than that though every thing has been great. UGH it is a pain in the butt though.

Lauren
