Cicirunner, you are being to hard harsh on Oscar. Even though he thought the guy was cheating, dose not mean you have to tell people not to look up at him. He is a human,and all humans make mistakes. Oscar didn’t have to apologise because whatever he said is absolutely right & make perfect sense there should be a ruling on the size, material and length of blades so that it’s fair play to everyone involved !!! He has been saying this even before Olympics or Paralympics started not just because he lost!!!
He is big enough to apologise for the timing of it not what he said!!! It was heat of the moment and clearly he is not media trained to face hostile media in here!!! & What else you want now?
You mentioned in the other video that he is not a sore loser because he apologized…..smh. Of course he apologized! Every athlete apologizes eventually, because they all have PR people that want to help them save face. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re truly sorry. Apologizes don’t automatically erase every wrong doing. I could shoot your dog and apologize after, but that wouldn’t make it all better.
I’m allowed to express my opinion as is anyone else on Youtube. I don’t know how many times I have to tell people that I’m not jealous of the dude. I would never want to have to endure all the hardships he has faced and overcome. I’m thankful for my two legs.

I think it’s pathetic that Oscar is constantly whining about fairness. So if anyone beats him then they are automatically a cheater? I never said he wasn’t a great runner, and I know there is no way I can inspire more people than Oscar has. This was a controversial topic so I wanted to start a discussion. I’m not looking for Oscar butt kissers that give in to all the media hype about an athlete and ignore the actual character of that person.
First of all, I wasn’t criticizing Lance Armstrong. I was using him as a example to compare the standards placed on doping vs technology in prosthetic legs. I’m a huge Lance fan although he did dope. I could explain further but this video isn’t about Lance. As for Oscar, I SAID IN THE VIDEO that what all of the paralympic athletes do is inspiring, but Oscar was a sore loser. He is under the impression that he has no worthy competition.

Yes, Oscar might have said the wrong thing, but he was clearly disappointed in himself. He has inspired more people in his short lifetime then you ever will in yours. The unfair advantage here is Oscar trying to grab the headlines with his unfair demands. He is not the winner, Alan is. Alan is shocked by Oscar’s unbecoming behaviour, trying to bend the rules for himself. The rules are clear, and both Alan and Oscar have competed in a fair race. Alan won, and Oscar came second.
At the top of the page you will see 14 likes and 2 dislikes meaning that the majority agree with me. Does that make everyone on Youtube an “arsehole?”
I’m not jealous of Oscar. I made this video b/c he is a hypocrite and a bad sport. If you’re still a huge fan of Oscar after what happened, then you are naive. I said in the video that I think Oscar and other paralympic athletes are inspiring but that Oscar shouldn’t be a role model to look up to. Also, how is it fair that he competed in both Olympics? One is for able bodied athletes and one is for the disabled. It’s like being a hermaphrodite and competing in both the men’s and women’s events.
Okay so if you check out the photo from this morning where Oscar,Oliviera, and I think blake is it? are receiving thier medals Oliviera is clearly a few inches SHORTER than Oscar. Well IF they measure thier height and whatever else, then how can it be legal for Oliviera to run on such long blades? I think Oscar has a case. I agree un-fair advantage.
The question rises … Should we consider doping as technological improvement in athleticism? or cheating?
So many people died due to doping, but these guys were probably over-dosing. It’s like when a doctor prescribes a certain amount of a drug to heal you, but you take much more because you think you’re gonna heal faster.
